TARINA TARANTINO

My love of bright, sparkly things continues, this time in the form of a truly adorable headband by jewelry and accessories designer Tarina Tarantino. A thick headband that's hand-wrapped with striped grosgrain ribbon, embellished with velvet flowers and studded with Swarovski crystals is possibly the prettiest thing to put in your hair that I've seen in years. Remember when we all wore bows and headbands in our hair?? When did this stop being cool? Come on girls-bring them back!

Suddenly chic....Claire's?

Now, I have to admit, Claire's was literally my haven during my middle school years. I loved it because it was so cheap, and I could always buy at least one thing on *trips to tha mall!*

Well, Claire's is still cheap, and yet...I'm not cringing at some of the merchandise:

Only $6, and it was featured on Elle.com, so you know it's good.

Who doesn't want a good gold necklace to go with everything? If it were me, I would switch out the chain to something a little more elegant, but the pendant is fabulous. $6.50

Great wooden bangle to add some bulk to delicate outfits. $7.50

"Let them eat cake!"

She may have gotten herself beheaded, but at least Marie Antoinette kept her head long enough to influence pre-revolutionary France with her fashions. Nows, centuries later, she's back with gusto, leading one of fall's newest trends, and has even landed herself a role (played by Ms. Kirsten Dunst, no less) in Sophia Coppola's new film, aptly titled, "Marie Antoinette". Vive la revolution!

I love, love, love the floaty blue color of this dress. It just flows. And the cutouts are genious. If you saw my earlier post on Sass & Bide jeans, you know they are close to my heart.

Yes, it's gaudy, yes, it's majorly flashy, and yes, I LOVE IT.
Who else but Chanel could produce such fabulous frivolity?

Badgley Mischka Fall 2006 RTW

In a sea of neutrals this fall, this neon lemon hue just seemed to POP! I love the knife pleats of the dress, and the bow detailing makes it sweet. I especially love the necklace they paired with it; It's got major hardware while the dress is so floaty, almost etheral.
