"Let them eat cake!"

She may have gotten herself beheaded, but at least Marie Antoinette kept her head long enough to influence pre-revolutionary France with her fashions. Nows, centuries later, she's back with gusto, leading one of fall's newest trends, and has even landed herself a role (played by Ms. Kirsten Dunst, no less) in Sophia Coppola's new film, aptly titled, "Marie Antoinette". Vive la revolution!

I like the lace blouse, but I can't possibly think of a way I could wear it without coming across as a complete fashion disaster

I think the key to this look is to wear a single piece and then pair it with something simple. I think you could wear the blouse with some skinny jeans and a fitted blazer and not look like you're trying to hard.

I thought I was going to hate this trend but I really think I could get into it. There is something naturally lovely about delicate lace.

love how you sewed (fashion terminology! get it! get it?!) the movie, history, fashions, and photos together in this blog, and i only wish i could afford the styles that you featured. LOVE that long white chanel lace concoction.

...and can't WAIT to see the movie. it's almost too many months of hype pre-release, it's almost unbearable. i don't care if it's plot-less, i just want to be dazzled!

ok, rambling. just found your blog and i likes.
